How do you help a child with behavioral issues at school?
At Shikhar Center for Inclusive Learning (SCIL), KR Puram – East Bengaluru, we support children facing school-related behavioral challenges through a structured, evidence-based intervention model. Generally we see the difficulties such as inattention, hyperactivity, emotional outbursts, peer conflicts, classroom disruption, or difficulty following instructions are often linked to underlying attention regulation issues, communication gaps, sensory processing differences, ADHD, or Autism Spectrum concerns.
We begin with a detailed functional assessment to understand the root cause of the behavior. Based on this, we design an individualized intervention plan that may include: Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)-based strategies, Structured behavioral therapy and self-regulation training, Occupational therapy for sensory and classroom readiness skills, Communication skill development, Parent training and school coordination. Our goal is not just to manage behavior, but to build attention control, emotional regulation, social participation, and functional independence so the child can thrive confidently in school.
Early, structured intervention leads to significantly better long-term academic and behavioral outcomes.
